The AIDS Cancer Specimen Resource (ACSR) and the AIDS Malignancy Consortium (AMC), are pleased to announce a request for applications (RFA) to establish an ACSR/AMC regional biospecimen repository (RBR) site in Latin America. This site will support and process Latin America AMC clinical trial associated biospecimens. In addition, this site will operate as an ACSR RBR in alignment with the established biobanking activities and responsibilities of the current ACSR. The mission of the ACSR is to provide biospecimens and associated data collected from persons living with HIV/AIDS (PLWH) who have been diagnosed with cancer, to eligible and approved HIV and cancer researchers throughout the world. Therefore, this initiative will provide support for the human biospecimen and data collection, storage, processing, and distribution activities of a Latin America ACSR RBR that will fully support basic and translational HIV-related research internationally.
