Protocol for the simultaneous isolation of DNA, RNA, and miRNA from a single archived Kaposi sarcoma biopsy

HOT OFF THE PRESS! The ACSR is pleased to present its newest manuscript published in STAR Protocols, Protocol for the simultaneous isolation of DNA, RNA, and miRNA from a single archived Kaposi sarcoma biopsy.

First author, Larissa Scholte summarizes:

“In this study, we developed an innovative approach to process recalcitrant samples, not only to enhance nucleic acid yields but also to enable simultaneous isolation of DNA, RNA, and miRNA. This protocol significantly expands the number of potential molecular studies that can be conducted on a single biopsy, optimizing the ACSR Kaposi Sarcoma collection. Additionally, it can be applied to other hard-to-lyse tissues and can potentially be adapted for protein isolation as well”.
