Apply NOW: Postdoctoral Fellowship Opportunity Burkitt Lymphoma Research

A specific opportunity is available to work on projects related to Burkitt lymphoma (BL) in the context of research on the Epidemiology of Burkitt Lymphoma (BL) in East African Children and Minors (EMBLEM) study.

Under the mentorship of Sam M. Mbulaiteye, M.D., senior investigator,  Infections and Immunoepidemiology Branch (IIB) of the National Cancer Institute’s Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics, the fellow will lead studies to characterize associations of Plasmodium falciparum and EBV infection, immune perturbation, and germline genetic variation with BL. The fellow will work with a multidisciplinary team, have opportunities to characterize main effect associations, and perform integrative analyses to inform the formulation of a unified model for BL etiology. The fellow will be encouraged to initiate projects within the context of EMBLEM collaborations.

The Epidemiology of Burkitt lymphoma in East African children and minors (EMBLEM) is a research study sponsored by the Intramural Research program of the National Cancer Institute under Protocol #: 10-C-N133 during 2010-2016 to comprehensively investigate infections, immunological, and genetic risk factors of BL.
