This week, the ACSR invites you to celebrate the achievements of all women \u2013 past and present \u2013 reflecting on both how far we have come and where we still need to grow.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Together we can forge women\u2019s equality. Collectively we can all work towards the 2023 International Women\u2019s Day theme of \u201cEmbrace Equity\u201d. The ACSR acknowledges women\u2019s achievements as we support our women in STEM, particularly in AIDS malignancy research. We challenge our colleagues in STEM to raise awareness against bias and take action for a world that\u2019s diverse, equitable, and inclusive.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) recently published highlights from their discussion with co-chairs of The Lancet Commission on Women and Cancer which highlights the need for a gender-specific approach in research, data collection and policy making to mitigate the wide-ranging impact that cancer has on women globally.
